Happy Friday everyone! Hello from a VERY dreary San Francisco. It is suppose to rain/mist nonstop for the next couple of days which really puts a damper on my fun times. It may be for the best though since I should probably catch up on my sleep. Sleep debt is real! Here is a second edition of things I'm loving Friday.
I actually went to this lovely wine bar last week with Adrienne. We got a TravelZoo deal for 2 glasses of wine plus $30 worth of food and we only paid $29. Hotel Biron is a rustic little wine bar in Hayes Valley that serves cheese & meat plates. This is the kind of place I love (especially with that almond explosion all over the plate)! I can't wait to return. Hopefully with a deal because these glasses are not cheap! ;-)
I'm loving this Chicken Sausage Frittata recipe that I got from Julie at Peanut Butter Fingers. I modified it a bit on the veggie front. I made it on Sunday for Angela and I, and I have been enjoying the leftovers this week.
Sorry for the crappy photo, but I had to share this! Wednesday Night I held a brown bag wine tasting night at my house. Overall, it was SO fun. The basis of the event is you bring a bottle of wine and cover the label/bottle. Then you try each wine and rate it (I did scores out of 5 points). At the end you tally up each wine and the one with the most points is the winner. I gave a small prize which was a wine bottle stopper with a mustache on it. I think many people do the party under a specific varietal, like Pinot Noir, but I did not want to restrict my guests. Plus, I don't like red wine very much!
Here's my little Finn acting like a nut this morning. He always puts a smile on my face! Never mind the hole patch in the tub. I do never take baths because of it... I'm terrified it will start leaking!
Funny (and amazing!) artwork at another wine bar I frequent. Pause is a wine bar on that weird stretch of market that is technically in Hayes Valley. It's close to my house though and they have a good happy hour. Winning!
Beautiful SF view! I'm loving this photo I found from a friend's recent visit because it reminds on these gross foggy days that gorgeous days like this are around the corner!
Now on to the weekend! Do y'all have any fun plans? Cheers!
