Hi all! Hope everyone had a glorious weekend! Mine went by way too past per usual! Let's get on to the fun! Saturday, Steven and I headed to brunch dim sum in the Richmond district of San Francisco. Good Luck Dim Sum is not only delicious but also super cheap! Of course I forgot to take a photo of our mountain of goodness, but we got about 18 pieces of different items (siu mai, steamed pork buns, shrimp dumplings, baked BBQ pork buns, and pork dumplings) and it all cost around $14! After that food coma, I unfortunately had to go to class which lasts around 4 hours.
Have you guys heard of Saucy? It is an alcohol delivery service and has truly changed my life! I'm not sure if for the better? HA They currently deliver in San Francisco, San Diego, Chicago, and Los Angeles. All of their delivery and taxes are included in the price you see, but you can additionally tip the driver if you're feeling generous. :-) If you'd like $10 off your first order, you can use my code Amanda220. (That is obviously an affiliated link... I believe I get $10 when you make your first purchase.) Your order normally arrives in 20-40 minutes. Perfect for last minute party purchases!
Saturday night I also made Steven a post-Valentine's day dinner. Don't mind the cat in the background begging for his own special dinner treats! I rarely eat red meat, but I must say I cooked this almost perfectly!
Saturday was a busy day because after dinner, I headed to a live music show with Adrienne at Biscuits and Blues which is a restaurant/bar/music venue near Union Square. We went to the later show at 10pm, but they also have a 7pm show. For the earlier show, dinner is required during the performance. We saw the Andy T & Nick Nixon Band, and while they were not my cup of tea exactly, they put on a good show! We didn't eat dinner, but we had to order biscuits based on the venue's name alone. They were ok... I'm southern though, so I'm highly critical of biscuits. The show lasted until around 11:30pm. The venue is very intimate and I think it would be a great date-night spot. I would recommend going at least once! Also, tickets are on Goldstar all the time. :-) After the show, we headed over to Benjamin Cooper which is a cool little upstairs bar hidden beside the ginormous Ruby Skye club. Normally, you have to cut through the ever growing club line to climb up the stairs, or you can enter through the Hotel G on geary and head up the stairs to Benjamin Cooper. I love secret ways!
Sunday, I got some R&R in since my bestie will be visiting me this weekend! She got a super cheap ticket through Frontier. Can't wait to see her!
Did you all have any fun weekend plans?
